BAM donates and plants 500 trees in heat-struck Hardwald
On October 25, BAM Swiss employees and their relatives planted 500 oak trees in the Hardwald in Muttenz on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Royal BAM Group. Worldwide, BAM is donating and planting 150,000 trees this year. This should help to preserve the planet for future generations.
‘We all have a responsibility for the sustainable use of our environment. The fact that almost all employees helped to plant trees says a lot about the culture in our company,‘ said Stephan Wüstemann, Delegate of the Board of Directors / CEO of BAM Swiss AG.
Due to the hot summer of 2018 over 6,000 trees have died in the Hardwald. BAM’s 500 trees alone will not solve the problems of the forest. The gesture, however, underlines the fact that BAM is serious about sustainability and hopes to inspire others to join the fight against climate change.
