N7 Newlands Cross / N11 Arklow Rathnew Motorway

Construction of Motorway from Arklow - Rathnew, Upgrade of existing N11, Construction of Gorey Service Station, the replacement of the existing signalised junction on N7 at Newlands Cross, Dublin.

The project consisted of:

  • Grade separated junction carrying the N7 over Belgard Road, via a new flyover at Newlands Cross Dublin
  • The N11 Arklow / Rathnew element of the scheme consists of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of approximately 16.5km of dual carriageway. Works include: 2 interchanges at Beehive and Jack White’s Cross roads; the re-alignment and/or construction of 4.83 km single carriageway, and associated side all-purpose road running parallel to the new N11 carriageway; 5 under-bridges and 3 over-bridges.
  • The operation and maintenance of an additional 33km section of the existing M11 route (Arklow-Gorey and Arklow Bypass), which also involves some upgrade works.
  • BAM will maintain the roads throughout the 25-year contract.
